Alicia and Marcus can’t seem to get on the same page. They’ve been happily married for over a decade, but things have become strained lately. The carefree fun and laughter that once filled their home have been replaced by conflict and resentment. Between arguments over money, the kids, the house, the future, and a million other moving pieces of their lives, they have no time for each other. They miss the physical and emotional intimacy they once shared. They miss each other.
Matt is struggling to find peace. As a first responder, he works daily to help, protect, and serve others. But it doesn’t feel like anyone is looking out for him. On the job, he sees heartbreaking and overwhelming things, and as much as he tries to put them out of his mind, he can’t. When he closes his eyes at night, he can still see the flashes of those disturbing images. He can’t sleep; he’s always on edge and doesn’t know how much longer he can go on this way.

Lisa feels lost. She looks around at her peers progressing in their lives – settling down, starting careers, building families – as she wonders why she has none of that. She always assumed that she would find some path or direction along the way, but that hasn’t happened. All the trust and confidence that she once had in herself has disappeared. She’s hopelessly stuck in place because she’s too afraid to make a choice or take any sort of chance. Something has to change.
There is a way forward.

Alicia and Marcus scheduled their first appointment with me, and we immediately set to work. As they learned to communicate more effectively, conflicts began to diminish, and resentments faded. They’ve started compromising with each other and working together toward a common goal. Now, they feel more connected physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Matt called me for an appointment, and we started seeing each other regularly. In our sessions, we focused on helping Matt face his demons and overcome his fears. He still deals with upsetting things at his job, but he knows that with the proper support, he can continue this work that he loves without letting it take a toll on his mental health.
Lisa couldn’t do it alone any longer, so she contacted me for help. Through our work, she was able to start showing herself more compassion and seeing herself as the amazing person she really is. Her confidence has grown, and she feels the courage to take chances, knowing that she has the resilience to handle anything that comes her way. She’s excited for the future, and life keeps getting better.
